Freeview PVR Options

We've been having a look at the Freeview PVR market. In case you don't know already, PVR stands for personal video recorder, and a Freeview PVR is a device that can receive Freeview digital TV and record it onto its internal hard drive. We think one of the best features about these PVRs is that they allow you to pause live TV. So, if your favourite chum phones during your favourite programme, it's no longer a problem, because the PVR can pause the live transmission, usually for up to half an hour. However, we guess a disadvantage is that the excuse "Sorry dearest, I'm trying to watch East Enders / Hollyoaks / Match of the Day" is no longer going to work. When they interrupt you, you can now just use the pause button, and you can even rewind the channel you have been watching for up to half an hour. Clever stuff, all done by the internal hard drive.

If you want to find out more, take a look at our Freeview PVR Review, our Freeview products catalogue (for Freeview boxes and Freeview PVRs), or our PVR products catalogue (which features PVR products that bring TV to your computer).
