Portsmouth are FA Cup Winners

It was a hard fought FA Cup Result for Harry Redknapp's Portsmouth, who won 1-0 with a goal from Kanu who reacted quickly to knock in a goal on 37 minutes after Cardiff keeper Peter Enckelman could not contain John Utaka's cross. Cardiff battled bravely but despite pressing hard in the final twenty minutes, could not find the breakthrough.

It was 69 years ago when Portsmouth last won the FA Cup, and manager Harry Redknapp called it a "Dream come true" after what had been a difficult year for him off the field.
