Microsoft Announces Plans for Retail Stores

Microsoft has announced plans to open retail stores in order to challenge the successful network of Apple Stores. Apple now has 251 retail stores and they have dramatically increased Apple's profile and now contribute a quarter of the company's profits. Microsoft has appointed David Porter, who has product distribution experience at Dreamworks and WalMart, to oversee the project.
