Premiership Round Up

West Ham returned to the Premiership in style, beating Blackburn 3-1. Blackburn scored the first goal, but Teddy Sheringham equalised just after half time, followed by a real cracker from Nigel Reo-Coker.

Everton went down 2-0 to Manchester United, with van Nistelrooy scoring just before half time, and Rooney scoring just after the half from a defensive error by Joseph Yobo, who rolled the ball into the young striker's path.

Tottenham beat Portsmouth 2-0 at Fratton Park after an Andy Griffin own goal and a superbly executed goal from England striker Jermain Defoe in the 64th minute.
