Crazy Frog Ringtone from Jamster

The Crazy Frog Ringtone is apparently something of a phenomenon, as people have been going mad (or should that be crazy) for it. If you don't know what we're going on about then take a look at our mobile ringtones page.

Oh, and if you're one of those people who love it, let us know what it is about the Crazy Frog that makes you love it so much.

Uses for Broadband - Watching Flash Animations

If you have got Broadband, and would like to be entertained by some Flash animations, then http://www.iwantmyflashtv.com/ is worth a look. We like the one entitled "Hare Cut". To find it, enter the site and select the Comedy genre, and then it's number 03 (numbers at the bottom of the screen). Pretty cool what some people get up to, but that animation must take a while.

PlayStation and Xbox Games

Listening to Radio 1's Chris Moyles show, and Chris saying he has now hooked his Xbox up to Xbox live for online gaming, reminded us of the popularity of console gaming. Therefore, we've gone slightly console crazy and added pages to the directory on Xbox Games and PlayStation Games. Enjoy.

Caprice Lingerie and Celebrity Big Brother

As with most things he said, we couldn't agree with the nasty comments made by John McCririck about Caprice and her lingerie range. Whilst Mr McCririck may be right in saying that the main reason Caprice went on big brother was to gain coverage for her lingerie range, she didn't try to pretend that wasn't the case. We won't detail John's comments here, but the gist of them was that Caprice is a pretty woman, and she's got it easy, and doesn't have to try very hard in life to be successful. Well, we'd beg to differ. Caprice obviously has worked very hard to get where she is today. If she wanted to take an easy route she could have just found herself a rich husband and been a trophy wife, rather like one of the characters in Channel 4's new series Desperate Housewives. Instead she's travelled round the world doing numerous photoshoots etc, and made a name for herself.

We think John's comments were motivated by pure jealousy. The man is obviously struggling financially if he has to inflict the obvious torture on himself that was Celebrity Big Brother. Clearly he didn't like the fact that Caprice had a far higher earning capacity than him. Yet he was the one paying for himself to fly business class, whilst the high earning caprice would go economy - that's clearly the behaviour of someone who has had to work hard for their money. John only makes economies when it comes to his wife, illustrated by the fact that when he flies business, he puts her in economy.

It is true that there are advantages to being good looking, and not everyone can promote their own lingerie range. However, the thing to remember is that everyone has their own special gifts, and it's nice to see Caprice making use of hers. We're pleased to support Caprice in her lingerie endeavours, and therefore encourage you to find out more about the Caprice Lingerie range at Debenhams

Digital Cameras best sellers at Christmas

Dixons had a good Christmas, with digital cameras being best sellers. If you have yet to get to grips with digital photography, we have a digital camera buyer's guide.

As for the rest of the British High Street retailers, it was a slightly gloomier story. At least Sainsbury's is launching a new clothing range, which will be something else for an ailing Marks and Spencer to worry about.

FA Cup Update - Manchester United vs Exeter City

Manchester United were lucky to come away from their FA Cup tie at Exeter with a win, with the scoreline finishing 2-0 after goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney. Exeter had a great game, rising to the challenge of taking on the top players of Man U, and their performance will be a massive morale boost for the club.

On the subject of football, we know that the new England Home Shirt will be available for pre-order some time in February, so we'll keep you posted.

Apple iPod Shuffle Launched

For those of you who have been longing after an iPod, but haven't been able to afford one, we've got good news - Apple has launched the iPod Shuffle, and it only costs £69. The base model can store approximately 120 songs, which are transferred to it by a direct connection to your computer via USB. It's cheaper than its big brother because it does not have a display screen, and this also means it can be smaller. In fact it is about the size of a packet of chewing gum.

ASOS Celebrity Style Clothing for Women

For those of you who follow such things, you will know that ASOS was one of the best performing shares on the UK stockmarket during 2004, managing a 14-fold increase. ASOS, which was formerly known as AsSeenOnScreen, can attribute its success to rapidly bringing to the shopper the fashion styles worn by celebrities. So, if the fashion sense of the likes of Kate Moss, Natasha Bedingfield, Victoria Beckham or Britney Spears appeals to you, you're likely to find those styles at ASOS. We've got examples on our Women's Clothing Page.

Oh, and they also do clothing for men too, but we've yet to add examples to the site (must work harder ...)

New Fitness Video Page

Maybe we're getting a bit carried away with the whole fitness video thing, but we thought we'd put a dedicated fitness video page up too. Included is the new offering from fitness video regular Rosemary Conley (who's made a bob or two from them), and an offering from Barbara Windsor called The Windsor Workout. Barbara's video is all the more impressive considering that not so long ago she was seriously ill - so, if she can do it, you can do it too!

Please ignore this post if you're perfectly honed already.

Apple launches Mac Mini at £339

Wow, an Apple computer for only £339! Yes, folks, in case you haven't heard, Apple have launched the Mac Mini as their new entry level computer. We can't believe how cheap it is - only a few pounds more than a 40GB iPod. Mind you, this is for the tiny base unit only, it does not include a monitor or keyboard. You still get a G4 processor, 256MB RAM, a 40GB hard drive and a DVD-ROM/CD-RW drive for this. We think it's a great new product from the guys in San Francisco. Whilst we have always used PCs, we've looked longingly at many of Apple's sleek silver designs, and at this price, we could just be tempted.

We've got more info on our page dedicated to the Mac Mini.

Fitness Videos in 2005

It's the time of year when a plethora of celebrities release their fitness videos. We heard on Radio 1's Chris Moyles show that Davina McCall, Barbara Windsor, The Stars of the Eric Pridz video and the girls from Hollyoaks all have workout videos out for 2005. We don't have any market research telling us who buys these videos, but can confidently predict they will appeal to women and men alike ...

Germaine Greer Leaves the Big Brother House

Well, Germaine Greer has decided to leave the Big Brother House, saying that the other occupants all had commercial agendas. We'll miss Germaine for her incisive comments. Germaine is famous for her feminist book The Female Eunuch, which was published in 1970 and has now been translated into 12 languages. You can view Germain Greer's work at Amazon UK.

Romance Tips from John McCririck

In fine chauvinist form on Celebrity Big Brother, John McCririck offers the romance tip:

"Never buy a woman flowers, because then they'll expect you to buy them flowers every month, otherwise they'll think you don't love them anymore".

Hmm. That's from a man who thinks picking your nose is the greatest activity in the world.

New Year, New You

This is the first year that we haven't made any New Year's Resolutions because we've been too busy to think of any! However, always mindful of others, we have created a page on nicotine patches in case you are one of the many (millions?) of people who attempt to quit smoking at this time of year. For many, willpower alone will not be enough, and the nicotine patches should help to take the edge off any cravings you may have. Or you could just think about all the money you will save by not smoking ... and the fact that you'll be able to climb the stairs without having to take a break half way up ...

Celebrity Big Brother Starts

So, Celebrity Big Brother has started, which means we'll get even less work done for the next few weeks. Here's the line up:

John McCririck - Horse racing pundit, likes wearing silly hats.

Germaine Greer - Outspoken feminist, probably likes reading The Guardian, likes wearing grey by the looks of things.

Bez - In the Happy Mondays, a legendary 90s rock band, with Shaun Ryder. Bez had the monopoly on the freaky dancing.

Caprice - Model who now has her own line of lingerie.

Lisa I'Anson - Ex Radio 1 DJ, now on Radio London.

Jeremy Edwards - actor and eye candy for the ladies.

Kenzie - 19-years old on the day of the first episode, wisely stays out of politics discussions, one for the young ladies.

Brigitte Nielson - Actress, does the 80s look very well.

Early action: Bez joined Brigitte and Caprice in the hot tub. Germaine started discussion on World Politics, Caprice joined in from the hot tub - we never thought we'd see that on TV. Kenzie, looking slightly uncomfortable on his birthday celebrations, decided not to join Caprice and Brigitte in the hot tub despite their encouragement.

Desperate Housewives

Intrigued by the title, we had to watch Channel 4's new American drama import Desperate Housewives, which airs at 10pm on Wednesdays. The series hit the ground running with the suicide of one of the housewives, Mary Alice, whose voice then narrates the unfolding action (we noticed the clever cutting from the neighbour drinking tomato juice to their discovery of the suicide). From her new vantage point, Mary now sees more than she ever did when she was alive, uncovering the real secrets in the lives of the other desperate housewives.

Of key importance to the male audience is that Teri Hatcher, aka Lois Lane from The New Adventures of Superman plays Susan Mayer, a divorcee and single mum who’ll go to exceptional lengths for love. The rest of the female leads are similarly easy on the eye (unsurprisingly enough). Needless to say we'll be watching again next week, and it's good to have such quality viewing on a Wednesday night. Oh, and it's Celebrity Big Brother tomorrow.

If you're a desperate housewife who needs to reinvigorate her life, take a look at our women's clothing and lingerie pages for some ideas.

Eric Morecambe

We've just watched the documentary about Eric Morecambe. One thing we didn't know about this famous British entertainer was that he was also a novelist, and he wrote Mr Lonely about what he knew best - being a circuit comedian. If you want to remember just how good Morecambe and Wise were, try these Morecambe and Wise DVDs

Watches

We've added pages on Mens Watches and Ladies Watches to the site. Is it time you bought a new watch? (Oh dear ... seriously though, you can get a really nice watch quite cheaply these days, so take a look.)

Star Wars Trilogy (Episodes IV-IV)

Over the Christmas holidays we enjoyed watching the Star Wars Trilogy on TV. We'd forgotten just how good these films were, and just how sad it was to watch an Ewok die in Return of the Jedi. If you have a DVD player you can enjoy them time and again with the set on DVD:
